It's in WI at a restaurant on a bay of a lake- DH knew the answer, but was uninterested in the skein of mohair. Hint- it is the first restaurant of a popular chain of Northwoods themed eating places.
Timber Lodge Steakhouse?

How about Famous Dave's, aka Diamond Dave's which originated in Hayward, WI?
