Cuteness in the form of baby
The only thing cuter than his smile is his laugh- since it's a smile with
sound effects. But it's also cute to see his face go from relaxed
inquisitiveness to the gentle cracking of a smile. It melts my heart. :)

Baby's first, and second cold
He has a cold again. I feel like we just got him- he shouldn't have another
cold already! It seems like he just got over the last cold. Here's a pic of
him with his first cold. He looks so sad, having to sleep with a stuffy
nose. This time he is still congested a bit and has a cough like an old man
at times. Poor baby.
It's 5am now and he wasn't ready to go back to sleep, so here we are. He is
in his Kick n' Play bouncer, and I am at the keyboard. At least he's in
slow-motion as he plays. He must be tired, right?
Did I mention that he shared his cold with me? In the middle of the night on
Saturday I started to feel icky. I slept all day Sunday and had a terrible
headache. Today was much improved, but a good night's sleep would have been
nice still.

Giving up Grey's
Last week I watched the Grey's Anatomy season premiere with anticipation, albeit on Saturday morning instead of Thursday night. I was watching some of the Office on Thursday and at Caribou for the rest with my friend Elzbieta. There was live music there, by the way. It was an older gentleman playing saxaphone.
It was baby N's first exposure to the sax, and he seemed to like it well enough.
Hearing it brought back memories of junior high when I played my Grandma's silver sax for "my instrument." I remember the day when each of us students was called to the music individually, so that the 2 music teachers could help you select "your instrument." I guess it was mandatory to play something for a year at least, after having the year or two of the "recorder" the silly little beige plastic thing that could make wonderful squawking sounds when played by an early learner.
Anyway, back to Grey's. So, I watched it, and I watched my sleeping baby more. I realized that it had lost its luster for me. There's something about women liking women in that way, or all the promiscuity that makes me drop watching a show. I didn't like Will and Grace for the same reason. So, there's my rant. I also gave up "Three and a Half Men" since I got sick of the glorified promiscuity. I just don't need to be watching those kinds of things, when I have the best thing already. The endless baby show. I watched my belly hop around from here to there as he did somersaults in utero, and now having been pushed out into the big world, I still savor every moment of watching him. Whether he's sleeping with his little sleep smiles and squinty faces, or awake smiling, cooing, laughing or saying "ma" and "mom" it all is so much more enjoyable and special than any tv shows.
Got to go, the baby is crying for his milky.

Hi from Baby Noah
Another blogger friend sent me to this link, I went there and was surprised that I had knit with her friend before, too cool.
1. Cloth or disposable? Disposable, I prefer the Ecodiapers from Target
2. Breast or bottle? Breast is best, all the way. Then a nap on Mommy's lap when my tummy is full.
3. Eczema or reflux? What does milk coming out of my nose mean?
4. Jumparoo or play mat? Play mat, with the Rainforest animals.
5. Mommy or Daddy? Both. Mommy is good for the bulk of the day, but then it is Daddy time.
6. Sling, front carrier, or stroller? Ergo baby carrier, or stroller.
7. Pacifier or thumb? How about whole fist, followed by WubbaNub the penguin.
8. Bumbo seat or bouncy seat? Bouncy
9. White noise or silence while sleeping? Crazy corgi sounds and the intermittent squabbling cats mixed with quiet
10. Crib, Pack'n'Play, or parents' bed? first the crib, then the crib, then the king-sized bed for the morning feeding
